Happy National Ice Cream Day! Keeping up with all these holidays on here is exhausting…but delicious as well! So I really can’t complain. Today I have an awesome easy recipe for vanilla ice cream with a crunchy cereal surprise. I also decided to dip some waffle cones in pink chocolate because why not! So instead of using the mysterious fake ice cream for pictures, I used the real thing. On an 80 degree and 90% humid day. So if you can imagine this photo shoot it was a lot of running back and forth and taking pictures with ice cream dripping down my hands. I had fun at least!
How cute are the waffles cones? I use Wilton melting chocolates for everything. The only thing I noticed is that they didn’t come out as melted as usual. It was definitely because it was so humid in my house when I made them. I wasn’t able to just dip the cones in, instead I had to swirl them a bit in the chocolate. They still came out pretty! I want to try this again when it’s not as humid out and I can make the perfect dipping chocolate.
Cereal Ice Cream + Pink Chocolate Dipped Waffle Cones
After eating a few bites of this cereal ice cream, I realized it was exactly like eating a bowl of cereal. Except the milk was frozen and had a vanilla flavor. Now I understand why cereal ice cream is all the rage! It’s like a bowl of cereal 2.0. I could definitely get behind this for breakfast. I would probably crash an hour later from all the sugar, though. I hope you all have the chance to enjoy National Ice Cream Day and indulged!
